Glaxcin Prison initially appeared to be exactly what it sounded like, with an interdimensional twist. Prisoners were accused of crimes and told that they were being incarcerated to rehabilitate them.
Except... what kind of prison is constantly tossing its inmates into simulated combat?
It slowly became apparent that there were many Wardens with many prisons, involved in an elaborate war game. And Glaxcin was losing. Badly. The one thing it had going for itself, though, was the strength of the facility. Hiding behind the strength of his walls, the Warden began to rebuild his army by reaching across worlds. In his desperation, some of his choices were, to say the least, interesting, and some gambles have panned out better than others. He found superpowers particularly promising, if only he could find a way to make sure everyone had them - thus, scientific experimentation was a popular hobby of his, as well as forcing his prisoners into simulated combat to turn them into a viable army.
When the attack came, however, it was not expected, and the Warden was unprepared. But having amassed as his army some very capable people across various universes, Glaxcin Prison was able to defend itself and emerge as a victor. The Warden, however, was not so lucky. He was found in his quarters and interrogated before being (presumably) murdered. His lover, a woman who helped to control and run Glaxcin at his side, met the same fate.
Now Glaxcin stands as an independant facility, run and operated by its soldiers who, unfortunately, remain prisoners until they are able to reverse the move back to their own worlds. In the meantime, they will train, survive, and rescue other prisoners in different facilities from brutal fates.
